The Start of a Legacy
While still in college, Peter O. Johnson and a friend started HOPE CHEST CLUB, a distributorship for Ekco Housewares Co. The line included two cookware sets, one flatware set, two Melmac dinnerware patterns and one coffeemaker.

Hy Cite unveils a business model developed around exclusive products and integrated services including financing and marketing. Employees: 9.

New Corporate Headquarters
Hy Cite opens new corporate headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin. Employees: 200.

Hy Cite Celebrates its 50th Anniversary
The company celebrates 50 years in business with a memorable convention at the majestic Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee.

Olá Brazil: Entering the Largest Market in South America
Royal Prestige® opens its doors in Brazil, the largest South American market.

Global Expansion
Hy Cite surpasses $400 million in global retail sales. The year closes with 19% sales increase, 98 Premier Network Leaders, 2,551 Distributors and 2,250 Junior Distributors.
